The McManis family has been farming in the northern inland region of California since 1938, and in 1990, fourth generation Ron McManis and his wife Jamie founded McManis Family Vineyards. Every bottle of McManis Family Vineyards has a simple mission: to provide quality wine at a fair price, and today the family grows more than 3,600 acres of premium wine grapes from California's premier growing regions.

In 1998, the company designed and built a state-of-the-art winery, producing a variety of red and white varietals from 10 of its own vineyards. Son Justin, daughter Tanya, and son-in-law Dirk Hovell are the fifth generation of the McManis family to manage the family business.

The Viognier from McManis Family Vineyards is a rich, velvety white wine with aromas of peach, pear, and apricot. Similar stone fruit and vanilla notes grace the palate along with a touch of minerality, leading to a smooth and seductive finish. 100% of the Viognier was harvested from McManis' own River Junction AVA, located at the confluence of the San Joaquin and Stanislaus rivers. The vineyards in this region are below the water line for most of the year, making the climate excellent for premium Viognier, with temperatures two to five degrees cooler than surrounding areas and a marked diurnal temperature variation.

The McManis Family Vineyards Merlot is a medium ruby color with rich fruit flavors. It opens with notes of blackberry, vanilla cream, and baking spices, leading to a mid-palate dominated by black fruit and ending with a pleasant toasty finish.
